Yesterday, on Memorial Day, I went to the UC Botanical Garden to water the California Native propagation area. I had my camera at the ready since I was planning to take some flower pics, when right in front of me was a fox. It stared at me and slinked off as I tried to get more pics. And what was that on the ground? The remains of a squirrel that the fox had eaten? Maybe...

Cool. One of the most dramatic moments nature-watching I've had was watching a fox run down and capture a squirrel.
