Monardella villosa--Coyote Mint
The deep pink flowers of coyote mint now grace the UC Botanical Garden. They attract butterflies to this evergreen perennial. The sincerely minty smell of the foliage attracts humans and repels deer. It is native to the coast ranges, and it likes part shade to sun and well-draining soil. Very nice color and very nice smell.
